All smaller items must be bagged/boxed!
If you require bagging/boxing services, there is an additional fee
of $70/hr for two staff.

SOME OF OUR DECLUTTER PROJECTS:

 1. Cleaning out of a bachelor unit downtown for a government agency.

   

 
  

The project was done over a period of 4 days and involved:

  • separating garbage from usable items
  • hauling out and disposing of garbage and furniture
  • organizing over 800 tools (most still in packages) and putting them into boxes
  • organizing items to be kept by the resident into cupboards & closets
  • delivery of tools to local businesses for refund and auction
  • top to bottom cleaning & dissinfecting of unit

2. Helping a Garden City home owner to prepare her home for sale, after the owner moved into a senior's facility. The project involved packing up items to be donated or taken by relatives, hauling away of garbage, delivery of items to people in need, and top to bottom cleaning of the home before the OPEN HOUSE.  The house was a 4 level split home and the work was done over a 3 day span. For under $1,000, the home owner had a beautiful home to showcase and received a generous offer for the effort.

3. Cleaning out of two abandoned suites for two different property management companies. View the Property Management section for Before & After photos of one of the suites. Clean out was done within 24 hours of the call to us.

4. Cleaning out of 3 storage rooms in an apartment block that had been neglected for 10 years by an outgoing caretaker.

5. Removing unwanted junk from a home in River Heights & cleaning the vacant home in order to prepare it for sale.

6. Helping a St. James client with a shopping addiction to get rid of the many new & unworn clothes and shoes she had accumulated.

7. Helping a client whose wife had passed away, by de-cluttering 5 closets and removing garbage that had accumulated in the basement of his Southdale home. All clothing was donated to a St. Boniface charity.

8. Removal of wood and 2 large bins of construction debris (2 tons in a 16 ft. truck) from a new home development project in the Maples. Completed in 2 half days of work by two men.

9. Bagging and removal of demolition debris from condo on Wellington Crescent. We hauled away two 26ft enclosed truck loads of debris from the site in one day with 6 staff.

10. An 800 sq. ft. 2 bedroom home with a full basement. This house was full of 30 years of garbage, broken furniture, a water bed, old appliances and un-necessary clutter. The house was also in need of a major clean up on the inside and outside. We removed and hauled away about 4 tons of garbage in a 1 ton dump truck with high sides. The appliances were taken to a salvage yard. We then cleaned the inside of the home, including the windows (inside & out). We also did a back yard clean up of the grass and weeds which were over 3 feet tall. The job took just over one week to complete. The purpose of the cleanup was to put the house up for sale. The homeowners received a good offer the first day it was shown, after DeClutter.ca was done. Total cost to the homeowners was $0, as they sold their home for more than expected, thanks to DeClutter.ca.

 

 

11. A crawl space in a basement that was filled with dust, garbage, empty boxes, precious items, furniture, broken boards, dirty mattress, etc.

The home owner did not know how to begin, so DeClutter lent her a hand. In 4 hours, she and I pulled out enough garbage to fill up a one ton truck. This garbage has now been taken away to the dump by our hauling experts, along with the heavier items in the crawl space. For the low cost of $300, the client now has her basement back in a CLUTTER FREE STATE with the help of DeClutter.

The home owner was left with 10 boxes to go through, as "home work", to decide whether she would keep them, donate them or sell them. After she organizes these items and takes them out of the dusty, mildewy cardboard boxes they are in, we will help her organize them into clean plastic storage containers that will keep the dust out.

12.  A boiler room in an apartment building which had accumulated 2 years of abandoned furniture and goods. A relatively easy job, as all we had to do was pull all of the stuff out, put it in our truck and haul it to the dump, the salvage yard and the hazardous waste depot. The Property Management company was happy to have a clean and empty space that was no longer a fire hazard at the low cost of $150.
