Although the saying says, "one man's garbage
is another man's treasure", we do not support actual garbage going to donation. But, if you have unwanted,
unneeded or unloved items that are in your way, they will be of value in someone else's eyes.
Your
donatable items should NOT BE:
- BROKEN
- STAINED
- RIPPED
- INCOMPLETE
- SMELLY
- PERISHABLE
- DANGEROUS
- TOXIC
If you have items that may
need a little bit of TLC, they can still be of use to someone else. Anything that is definitely not donatable will be recycled
if possible or taken to the dump as a last resort.
If you have items that are strictly for donation, you can take
them directly to the Centre Flavie-Laurent at 164 Marion Street in St. Boniface. If you have no means of transporting them, you can call them at 204-233-4936 for a
FREE PICK UP.
The Centre is always in need of:
- CRIBS
- BABY ITEMS
- BEDDING
- CLEAN MATTRESSES
- PLATES
If you have a mixure of items for donation, recycle or the
dump, call DeClutter.ca for fast pick up of all your clutter.
If you are closing down your office
or upgrading your office furniture, you can donate it to the Thomas Sill Foundation. One of our recent projects involved the closing down of a collection agency and included donating filing
cabinets, desks, office chairs, and bookcases to the Foundation. They in turn sell them very cheaply to registered charitable
organizations to help fund the many projects they support. Products that they accept for donation are not limited to office
furniture, however, so please check the Tom Sill Gifts In Kind page to find out how you can also be kind.
